University Hospital Centre Zagreb is the largest health institution in the Republic of Croatia, considering the number and diversity of health services it provides.
Every day our hospital ensures basic care and highly sophisticated medical procedures for healthcare users from Croatia and abroad. High academic education of our employees enables us to deal with a wide spectrum of health issues, with special emphasis being put on the interdisciplinary and individual approach to each user.
Besides providing basic healthcare, we stay up-to-date with the latest treatment methods, which are implemented into everyday work, in accordance with strict scientific criteria. This is evident in the fact that our hospital is the base for 70 referral centres of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia, whose task is to continuously monitor and systematically promote particular areas of medicine in our country.
Great efforts are made to educate our current and future employees, which subsequently creates the largest base for clinical education of the University of Zagreb’s School of Medicine and the University of Applied Health Sciences.
The status of the Central National Hospital awarded to the University Hospital Centre Zagreb by the Ministry of Health is a tremendous acknowledgement, but also a guideline for future activities in order to maintain and improve the quality of our services.
